Parietal lobe

The part of the brain that integrates sensory information from different modalities, particularly determining spatial sense and navigation. Balint sybdrome is associated with bilateral lesions of the parietal lobe.

That part of each cerebral hemisphere that lies between the occipital lobe and the central groove.

The middle lobe of the cerebral hemisphere, which is associated with language and other mental processes, and also contains the postcentral gyrus.

One of the main divisions of each hemisphere of the cerebral cortex, located beneath the crown of the head and concerned with sensory and associative nerve functions.

The portion of the cerebrum located on the lateral and medial surfaces and covered by the parietal bone.

One of the major divisions of each cerebral hemisphere, lying behind the frontal lobe, above the temporal lobe, and in front of the occipital lobe. It is thus beneath the crown of the skull. It contains the sensory cortex and association areas.

The division of each cerebral hemisphere lying beneath each parietal bone.
