Palilalia

A neurological condition characterized by the repetition of a phrase or word with increasing rapidity. It can be a symptom of tourette’s disorder, asperger’s disorder, or autistic disorder.


A speech disorder in which the person repeats words.


A rare condition in which a person repeats a phrase over and over with increasing rapidity; it often results from a brain dysfunction or disease, such as encephalitis, or from a condition such as Tourette’s syndrome.


Abnormal condition in which a word is rapidly and involuntarily repeated; associated with Gilles de la Tourette syndrome and some brain disorders.


A disorder of speech in which a word spoken by the individual is rapidly and involuntarily repeated. It is seen, with other tics, in the Gilles de la Tourette syndrome. It is also encountered when encephalitis or other processes damage the extrapyramidal system of the brain.


Also called paliphrasia, this means the involuntary repetition of words or sentences. It is a symptom of gilles de lat ourette’s syndrome.


A speech impediment where the final word or words of a sentence are reiterated multiple times.
