Forbes-Albright syndrome is a condition marked by amenorrhoea (the lack of menstrual periods) and galactorrhoea (milk production from the breast) when not related to pregnancy. This condition is typically caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland that secretes an excess of the hormone prolactin. Treatment may involve the use of the medication bromocriptine to decrease prolactin production. Nonetheless, it may be necessary to surgically remove the tumor in some cases.
