Drug-induced disease

A disorder caused by drug use is known as a drug-induced disease. Instances of this can include conditions like drug-induced lupus erythematosus, haemolytic anaemia, and parkinsonism. Risk factors that may heighten the chance of developing a drug-induced disease include age, gender, personal sensitivity, pre-existing conditions (particularly kidney or liver diseases), and the mix of medications a patient is on. Negative repercussions from medication use can sometimes result in hospitalization, disability, or in extreme cases, fatality.
