Zoonotic

Diseases that have the potential to be naturally transmitted from animals to humans are known as zoonotic diseases. These illnesses can occur when certain pathogens or infectious agents are transferred between animals and humans. Zoonotic diseases encompass a wide range of conditions, including viral, bacterial, and parasitic infections. Examples of zoonotic diseases include but are not limited to Lyme disease, rabies, avian influenza, Ebola virus disease, and salmonellosis. These diseases emphasize the importance of understanding and managing the risks associated with human-animal interactions, and taking necessary precautions to prevent transmission and protect public health.
