Small bowel obstruction

A condition characterized by the blockage of the small intestine, impeding the normal flow of contents, is known as intestinal obstruction. This obstruction can occur due to various factors, and in some cases, it may be attributed to postoperative adhesions, which are bands of scar tissue that form after surgical procedures. Intestinal obstruction hampers the movement of material through the intestines, potentially leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting, and altered bowel habits.
