A surgical intervention employed for the management of atrial fibrillation. In this procedure, a radiofrequency probe, microwave probe, or cryoprobe is inserted and visually guided to create lines of lesion in the heart. These lines are strategically placed to disrupt the transmission of abnormal electrical impulses.
