Thoraeus filter

An essential radiological filter consisting of tin is employed as the primary filter, complemented by a secondary filter composed of copper to absorb the characteristic radiation emitted by the tin. Furthermore, a third filter made of aluminum is utilized to absorb the characteristic radiation produced by the copper. In the kilovolt range of 200 to 400, this filter configuration exhibits a higher efficiency in hardening x-rays compared to the conventional combination of copper and aluminum.
