The term used for scan data in digital form that is stored in a dedicated section of the System Disc is called “Raw Data.” This raw data cannot be directly utilized by the system to generate a slice image until it undergoes additional electronic manipulation known as “processing.” Processing involves applying mathematical operations to the data using a specific formula called an “algorithm.” Once the processing is completed, the data is saved as an image file on the system disc and can be accessed for viewing on the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) display. The processed image allows healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze the medical scan.
