Alsatian wines

Alsace, a province located on the border of France, is renowned for producing a variety of wines. The unique climate, soil, and selection of grape varieties in this region contribute to the wine’s distinct characteristics, which typically include a medium level of dryness and a delicate flavor. The wines produced here are classified under the “appellation contrôlée”, which is determined by the type of grape rather than the vineyard itself. Some of the primary grape varieties used in this region include Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, and Sylvaner.
