Cream puff

A delicate confection, leavened to a substantial degree during the process of baking, then subsequently imbued with either whipped cream or custard filling.


A delicious pastry made of light and airy choux pastry that is filled with whipped cream or pastry cream. It can also be filled with a savory mixture of cheese, meat, seafood, or poultry and served as an hors d’oeuvre. When prepared in this way, the puffs are usually no larger than a walnut.
