Cranshaw melon

The Crenshaw melon, a nascent hybrid of Persian and Casaba melons, boasts a svelte form weighing between four to eight pounds. Its sleek rind, a rich green or golden hue, matures into a resplendent gold as the melon reaches full ripeness. Within its outer shell lies a tantalizing, salmon-colored flesh. It’s worth noting that the Crenshaw melon is occasionally spelled with an alternate spelling: Crenshaw.
