Multigenic resistance

A lexical equivalent of polygenic, albeit not an ideal alternative due to its heterogenous etymological derivation. This term denotes the presence of multiple genes that influence a particular trait or phenotype. However, its linguistic roots originate from a varied set of sources, rendering it less than optimal in certain scientific contexts. Nonetheless, its use is still prevalent in some fields of study, albeit with some caution.
