Racemose inflorescence

A flower cluster, either conical or flattened in outline, in which the main stem continues growing at the tip and there is usually no terminal flower; the flowers open in succession with the oldest flowers at the base and the youngest and smallest at the top. Types of racemose inflorescences include the catkin, corymb, flowerhead or capitulum, panicle, raceme, spadix, spike and umbel.
