Yellow nail syndrome is a condition characterized by the thickening and discoloration of nails, typically turning them yellow or occasionally green. This condition is often accompanied by swelling in the legs and the accumulation of fluid around the lungs, known as pleural effusion. Yellow nail syndrome is attributed to a malfunction in the lymphatic drainage system.
