Cavernous plexor

The vascular plexus of a cavernous part of the body. The following are included: Of the nose: a venous plexus in the mucosa covering the superior and middle conchae. Of the penis: a nerve plexus at the base of the penis giving rise to large and small cavernous nerves. Of the clitoris: nerve plexus at the base of the clitoris, formed of fibers from the uterovaginal plexus. Of the cavernous sinus: a sympathetic plexus that supplies fibers to the internal carotid artery and its branches within the cranium.
