Registered record administrator

A credential provided by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) to a medical record administrator (MRA) who has met AHIMA’s standards for sitting for its registration examination in medical record science, and who has passed the examination. AHIMA until 1991 was known as the American Medical Record Association (AMRA).


A person registered by the American Medical Records Association, who plans, supervises, designs, and develops medical records systems for health care facilities.
