For example, the bronchoscope is designed for viewing the tracheal and bronchial region; the gastroscope, for viewing the interior of the stomach; the duodenoscope, for viewing the duodenum.
An endoscope that uses fiber optics for the transmission of images from the interior of the body. Fiberscopes have a great advantage over the older endoscopes as they are flexible and can be introduced into relatively inaccessible cavities of the body.
