Malaise

A feeling of weakness, lethargy or discomfort as of impending illness.


Generalized feeling of illness, discomfort, or depression indicative of some underlying disease or disorder.

Vague feeling of weakness or illness, often an early sign of illness.


A general feeling of being unwell. The feeling may be accompanied by identifiable physical discomfort and may indicate the presence of disease.


A vague feeling of feverishness, listlessness and languor, which sometimes precedes the onset of serious acute diseases, but more commonly accompanies passing illnesses such as chills and colds where it represents the outward manifestation of the immune reaction occurring between viruses or other organisms and the body’s immune system.


A subjective sense of discomfort, weakness, fatigue, or feeling rundown that may occur alone or accompany other symptoms and illnesses.
