    6 Tips for Getting Rid of Bad Breath

    Brush Twice a Day

    We’re all aware of how important it is to follow a good oral hygiene routine, therefore, brushing your teeth twice a day for two minutes each time will help get rid of food debris and plaque that is lurking between the teeth. In some instances, mouth rinses can worsen bad breath as it may irritate oral tissue. If you’re off to work and need an emergency freshen-up, using a few drops of peppermint oil and water may help.

    Visit Your Dentist

    To be assured that you’re taking good care of your teeth and gums, it’s best to visit your dentist on a regular basis. If you suffer with chronic bad breath, it’s best to schedule an appointment with your dentist first as they will be able to rule out any dental problems. If your dentist believes that the cause of your bad breath is from an internal source like an infection, they may advise you to make an appointment with your family physician to help you further.

    Quit Smoking

    We all know how damaging smoking is for our health. If you are experiencing bad breath, smoking won’t be doing you any favors. This is because tobacco is known for drying out the mouth, which can cause an unpleasant smell to linger, even after you’ve brushed your teeth.
